In our last newsletter we introduced you to our new Sensory Equipment Packs available from the Specialist Equipment Library. The packs contain a selection of specialist equipment items that can be used for meeting the sensory and regulatory needs of children with additional needs

Kensington PCYC were one of the first services to request a Sensory Equipment Pack and have already put the equipment to good use.

Mel the coordinator provided some positive feedback:

“Thank you for the sensory kit & resources that we were fortunate enough to obtain. All of the children have been engaging with the resources and it has been an amazing opportunity to open the discussion on Inclusion of all children within the service. One child in particular has benefited immensely from the Sensory Equipment. He has gone from taking up a whole couch covering himself in the additional cushions to sitting up with the weighted blanket and watching TV with a large group of children. This is a huge step forward and falls beautifully within our SIP plan.”
