The WA Inclusion Agency

The WA Inclusion Agency (WAIA) delivers the Inclusion Support Program in Western Australia. WAIA is a collaboration of three partner agencies, with Communicare as the lead agency:

WAIA provides free support to eligible mainstream Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services to build their capacity to provide quality practices for all children, including children with additional needs.  The Inclusion Support Program is a national program funded by the Australian Government Department of Education; it is a key component of the Government’s Child Care Safety Net.

For ECEC services, WAIA can help your centre access the support needed to provide an inclusive environment for all children.

For ECEC Services

For families or guardians of children with additional needs, WAIA can help your ECEC provider make a plan and access equipment to help your child succeed.

Next Steps

To get inclusion support you must:

  1. Complete and sign the Request for Inclusion Support Form
  2. Ask the parent or legal guardian to complete and sign the Parent Information and Consent Form*
  3. Submit both forms to the WA Inclusion Agency at info@wainclusionagency.org.au.

*For requests that relate to the care environment or Strategic Inclusion Plan support only, the parent information and consent form is not required. If children are named in a request for support, then parents must give permission by completing the Parent Information and Consent Form.
